Total U.S. packaging papers & specialty packaging shipments in January 2020 decreased 3% compared to January 2019, as the American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) reported.
The operating rate was 87.9%, down 2.8 points from January 2019. Mill inventories at the end of January decreased 7,000 short tons from the previous month, and were down 6,000 short tons compared to January 2019.
