Canada's lumber production rose 11.4% from February to 5 897.7 thousand cubic metres of lumber in March. Production was 5.2% lower than in March 2017, as Statistics Canada said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
Sawmills shipped 5 392.5 thousand cubic metres of lumber in March, up 10.5% from February and 7.6% lower than in March 2017.
