Welch Packaging's Cooper Container II will make a significant investment to expand its operations in Henderson County, Tennessee. The corrugated packaging producer and foam converting company will create approximately 40 jobs in Lexington over the next 3 years, as Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development reports.

Cooper Container II will add 100,000 square feet to its existing Lexington manufacturing facility. The investment will increase capacity at the facility, which has multiple converting machines and specialty equipment. Work on the expansion is scheduled to begin in the 3Q 2018. Cooper Container II anticipates the first phase of the new expansion will be operational in January 2019.
