Fibria Celulose S.A. has already concluded 87% of the physical execution related to the expansion plan of the Company, which consists in the construction of a the second line of pulp production in Três Lagoas, in the State of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, referred to as Horizonte 2 Project with a nominal pulp capacity of 1.95 million tons.
With that, the Company anticipated the planned startup of the new pulp production line, that initially was for the beginning of the 4Q 2017, bringing it to the beginning of September 2017 (3Q).
The Horizonte 2 Project will expand Três Lagoas unit’s annual pulp production capacity to 3.25 million tons. In 2017, the new pulp production line is expected to produce a volume of 377 thousand tons.
