The organisers of Sylva Wood has decided to take the necessary precaution by postponing the fifth edition of Sylva Wood for the safety and well-being of exhibitors, sponsors, delegates, trade attendees as well as staff, said in a statement Shanghai Pablo Exhibition Co.

The fifth edition will not be held from 29th June to 1st July this year as originally planned, but postponed to the following year, 29th June to 1st July, 2021. This is in response to the escalation of the current COVID-19 situation, which the World Health Organisation has characterised as a pandemic and the unpredictable development of it.

The postponement of the fifth edition of Sylva Wood will help exhibitors and visitors to plan their participation in Sylva Wood so as to once again bring the global timber network together to trade and secure new avenues of growth in one of the world’s most exciting markets for wood.

Sylva Wood is Asia’s only specialised trade show for the wood materials. The event is organised by China Timber and Wood Products Distribution Association, Shanghai Timber Trade Association and Shanghai Pablo Exhibition. It is also endorsed by French Timber, the American Hardwood Export Council, American Softwoods, the Softwood Export Council, Canada Wood, the Thai Timber Association, the Malaysian Timber Council, and the National Hardwood Lumber Association.
