In August 2009, the volume of pulp cooked at Arkhangelsk pulp and paper mill amounted to 73,800 tons which is 1.3% lower than in the previous year, as informed by the company’s representative Vladimir Averin. Market pulp production was 19,100 tons which is 5% less compared to August 2008. Paper production grew by 0.2% to 7,200 tons, wood fiberboards production decreased by 18.4% down to 593,000 square meters. Paperboard production remained flat compared to the August of 2008 and amounted to 43,400 tons. Production of 12-leaves copybooks grew by 12% to 30.6 million items.
