Volga’s
newsprint exports amounted
to 220,091 tonnes in 2015, which is 67.6% of its total newsprint production, as the company said
in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
The growing demand for Volga’s newsprint is primarily driven by a substantial
improvement in paper quality and increased linear meters in a paper roll up to
that in a standard roll of European producers.
As
a result, the Mill has been able to successfully compete in the marketplace
with leading European paper companies and make new foreign currency contracts.
The improved competitive product is, no doubt, attractive to foreign customers.
Today, Volga accounts for about 15% of Russia’s total newsprint exports and is planning to
boost its export volumes even further.
