SINOBRAS Florestal will implement Remsoft Optimization technology to meet its strategic forest planning needs and support sustainable charcoal production.

SINOBRAS Florestal is part of Grupo Aço Cearense, the largest independent distributor of steel and its derivatives in Brazil. As the first integrated steelmaker in Brazil’s North and Northeast regions SINOBRAS oversees the charcoal to steel making process and maintains an annual production of 380 thousand tons per year. The charcoal is produced from eucalyptus and corymbia plantations in an area of 38,989 hectares, distributed along various farms in the federal state of Tocantins.
