Slovenia: The value of purchased roundwood decreased by 9% in September

Slovenia's roundwood purchased from private owners in September 2018 was worth Euro 3.8 million, which is almost 9% less than in the previous month , as the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was lower by about 12% and of wood fuel by 18%. The values of purchased pulpwood and other industrial roundwood were higher than in the previous month (by about 13% and by more than 7%, respectively).

The value of roundwood purchased from private owners in September 2018 was more than 9% lower than in September 2017, mainly due to the lower quantity of purchased wood.

The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was lower by almost 22%, while the values of purchased other categories of roundwood were higher: of wood fuel by more than twice, of pulpwood by about 37% and of other industrial roundwood by about 65%.
