Sveaskog’s net sales increased by 6% to SEK 1,294 million ($155 million) in the 3Q 2017. Operating profit from continuing operations increased by 20% to SEK 208 million ($25 million) in the 3Q 2017. Profit increased by 7% and amounted to SEK 220 million ($26.3 million).

Sveaskog’s 3Q net sales increased by 6%

Sveaskog’s net sales increased by 6% to SEK 1,294 million ($155 million) in the 3Q 2017. Total delivery volumes increased by 2%, compared with the corresponding period last year and selling prices increased by an average of 3%, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

Operating profit from continuing operations increased by 20% to SEK 208 million ($25 million) in the 3Q 2017. The improved earnings are mainly explained by higher prices and higher delivery volumes.

Profit for the 3Q 2017 increased by 7% and amounted to SEK 220 million ($26.3 million).

In January-September 2017, Sveaskog’s net sales increased by 5% to SEK 4,593 million ($549 million). Total delivery volumes increased by 2% compared with the corresponding period last year and selling prices increased by an average of 2%.

Operating profit from continuing operations increased by 14% to SEK 933 million ($112 million) in January-September 2017. The improved earnings are mainly explained by higher prices and higher delivery volumes. Revenues for ecological compensation from Boliden, improved earnings in the field purchases operations and lower road costs also made a positive contribution.

Profit for the period increased by 11% to SEK 999 million ($119 million).
