Sveza developed Due Diligence System to comply with EUTR

May 14, 2013. /Lesprom Network/. Sveza has issued a document to comply with the European Union Timber Regulation (EUTR). The document is called the Due Diligence System, as the company said in a press release received by Lesprom Network.

On March 3, 2013 EU regulation No. 995/2010 came into force. Its purpose is to prevent the penetration of timber products obtained as a result of illegal logging into the EU. To comply with these regulations, Sveza has developed a Due Diligence System. The document was created in conjunction with the international consulting firm GFA Certification GmbH.

Sveza customers and European market regulators praised the document. In their opinion, Sveza has demonstrated that it is a responsible manufacturer.

"The Supervisory Authority in Germany has approved the set of documents and given it a positive assessment. Sveza can be an example and a model for other manufacturers," said a representative from Orlimex DE Gmbh, an official Sveza partner.
