U.S. packaging papers & specialty packaging shipments in February 2020 increased 2% compared to February 2019. They were down 1% when compared to the same two months of 2019, as the American Forest & Paper Association reported.
The operating rate was 86.9%, down 1 points from February 2019 and down 2 points year-to-date.
Mill inventories at the end of February remained essentially flat (+77 short tons) from the previous month and were down 6,000 short tons compared to February 2019.
