COFI appoints Greg Stewart as new Board Chair The BC Council of Forest Industries (COFI) appoints Greg Stewart, President, Sinclar Group Forest Products Ltd., as Chair of the Board of Directors. Greg will succeed Don Kayne, President and CEO, Canfor Corporation, who previously served as Board Chair since 2019.

BC Premier John Horgan appoints Ravi Kahlon to lead the expansion and use of mass timber in B.C. buildings Last year, BC government announced its intention to encourage the increased use of mass timber building products in its capital construction programs, particularly in the development of the new St. Paul’s Hospital and the replacement of the Royal BC Museum.

Canada investing to grow markets for B.C. wood products The multi-year investment will amount over $24 million in six wood product associations based in British Columbia to help strengthen international demand for Canadian wood products.

Council of Forest Industries appointed Susan Yurkovich as President and CEO The Council of Forest Industries’ (COFI) Board of Directors appointed Susan Yurkovich as President and CEO, effective September 14, 2015. She will also serve as President of the BC Lumber Trade Council.
