Mondi Syktyvkar is one of the leading producers of pulp and paper in Russia. The company’s core business is the production of office and offset paper. It also manufactures newsprint and white top liner.
The mill operates one board machine and three paper machines. The mill comprises a wood yard, a pulp mill, power- and waste water treatment plants. Mondi Syktyvkar controls seven wood harvesting affiliates integrated into the mill’s logging subsidiary, which provides the mill with pulpwood.
In September 2010 the company commissioned the sites constructed in the framework of STEP - the biggest investment project in the Russian pulp and paper industry over the last 30 years.
In 2011 Mondi Syktyvkar harvested 2.2 million cubic meters of wood to produce close to 700’000 tons of pulp. As a result more than 900’000 tons of paper and board were produced.
For 2012 the reconstruction of recovery boiler 3U is a major milestone which will help to generate more green energy.
Snegurochka office paper is the most important brand for the company. It has won the Russian “Brand of the Year" award four times. Snegurochka is among the most popular office paper brands.
