Mar 26, 2010. /Lesprom Network/. Allan Trinkwald of Simpson Lumber Co., LLC was elected as Chairman of Western Wood Products Association (WWPA) during the 2010 Annual Meeting in Portland, USA. Trinkwald succeeds Eric Schooler of The Collins Companies, who completed his two-year term as the top Member officer, company said in a statement received by Lesprom Network.
Elected as First Vice Chairman was Bob Lewis of Columbia Vista Corp., Steve Zika of Hampton Affiliates was voted as Second Vice Chairman and Michael O’Halloran was re-elected as WWPA President and CEO. Four Board members were elected to serve three-year terms. They are: Sherm Anderson, Sun Mountain Lumber; Dan Claridge, Thompson River Lumber Co. of Montana, Inc.; Fritz Mason, Georgia-Pacific LLC; and Tom Shaffer, Neiman Enterprises.
Western Wood Products Association represents lumber manufacturers in the 12 Western states and Alaska and is the region's largest lumber trade association.
