German Andritz company was elected main supplier of technological line for fibre and lye production for Veracel (Brazil) craft pulp mill (Stora Enso Oyj and Aracruz Celulose S.A. joint-venture). The mill will become world’s largest single-stream enterprise to produce bleached commercial pulp from eucalyptus. The project is to be accomplished by mid 2005, Andritz official statement says. New fibre production line is to become world’s largest. The power will make 900,000 thousand tonne/yr of high-durability and high whiteness pulp (ISO 92). Andritz will also supply necessary equipment for white lye production. Single equipment unit power is 9000 cub m/day of white lye and 700 tonne/day of burned lime. The mill production is based on modern filtration technologies and LMD burning kilns. Andritz is to carry out one of its biggest commercial orders ever, Arditz president and CEO Wolfgang Leitner said. Arditz is a leading company selling technological equipment and services for pulp and paper production. The company employs 4600 workers.
