In first quarter 2006 Arkhanguelsk pulp-and-paper mill, Arkhanguelsk region, Russia, increased pulping by 0.9% compared to first quarter 2005 to 209 415 tonnes, company’s press-service reported. In January-March 2006 market pulp production was flat compared to the corresponding period of 2005 at 57 990 tonnes, paper production rose by 0.3% to 20 586 tonnes, cardboard – by 0.9% to 119 216 tonnes, containerboard – by 10.7% to 31.0 million square meters, copy-books – by 2.1% to 71 million pcs.
