The value of Canadian lumber exports to U.S. fell 20.4% to $1.03 billion y-o-y in first quarter with volume dropped 2.87% to 7.09 million m3, according to USDA data. Average price for Canadian lumber in U.S. declined 18% to $146 per m3.

Total U.S. lumber imports in first quarter of 2019 decreased 3.18% to 7.95 million m3 with total value fell 17.1% to 1.37 billion. The average price of total lumber imports to U.S. declined 14.4% to $172 per m3.
