Canada's lumber production rose 1.4% from August to 5 633.4 thousand cubic metres of lumber in September. Production was 4.8% lower than in September 2016, as Statistics Canada said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
Sawmills shipped 5 820.8 thousand cubic metres of lumber in September 2017, up 4.2% from August but 3.6% lower than in September 2016.
