In line with higher shipments to Europe, local demand for the grade improved by 6.8% (52,000 tonnes), the CEPIPRINT said in a statement received by Lesprom Network. The SC-magazine paper sector saw total European shipments up 9.3% (33,000 tonnes) in June as exports boosted the total figure by climbing 63.3% (27,000 tonnes) year-on-year. European demand sat at 324,000 tonnes, up 2.1% against June 2009. Overseas shipments of coated mechanical reels rose 52.7% (52,000 tonnes) last month. Total shipments to Europe were up 6.7% (12,000 tonnes) on the back of a 33.3% (9,000 tonnes) rise in exports. Domestic deliveries were 2.1% (3,000 tonnes) higher year-on-year.
