Feb 10, 2016. /Lesprom Network/. Finland's pulp and paper industry production grew 0.2% in 2015. Paper production contracted 2.6% to 7.3 million tonnes. Pulp production nonetheless increased 1.7% to a total of 7.1 million tonnes. Paperboard production was up 3.6% to 3.1 million tones, as the Finnish Forest Industries Federation (FFIF) said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

Paperboard production grew to 810,000 tonnes in the 4Q, which is no less than 6.6% more than in the corresponding period of 2014. Pulp production increased 4% in the final quarter and came to 1.9 million tonnes.

Paper production in the last part of the year was 2.3% lower than in 2014, totalling 1.8 million tonnes in the 4Q.
