Finch Paper to increase price for uncoated printing papers from June 16

Jun 04, 2008. /Lesprom.com/. Uncoated printing paper producer Finch Paper has announced a price increase of $3 per cwt on all products, effective with shipments on Monday, June 16, 2008. Orders acknowledged by May 30, 2008, will be shipped and invoiced at the acknowledged price, Finch said. “This decision was necessitated by sustained, significant increases in our manufacturing input costs,” said Chairman, President & CEO Richard J. Carota. “We have worked hard to shelter our customers from these cost-pressures for some time, but can no longer do so.” Finch Paper LLC operates a single pulp and paper manufacturing facility in Glens Falls, NY. The mill produces approximately 250,000 tons per year of uncoated printing papers.
