Jul 22, 2009. /Lesprom Network/. Green Energy Resources said that it will begin shipping woodchips from Albany, New York to Europe, PaperAge reported. The end-use for the woodchips is biofuel. The company said it has signed a long term contract with a port contractor in the Albany, NY area that can handle large ocean going vessels. The first shipment is slated for August and the company said it plans to ship 30,000-60,000 tons monthly. Green Energy noted that it is looking for suppliers of recycled wood from crushed pallets and forestry woodchips from the local area as well as Connecticut, Massachusetts and New York City.
