Heinzel to invest Euro 42 million in Pöls mill in Austria

Heinzel Group will invest roughly Euro 42 million in further expanding the pulp production at its Styrian location in Pöls, Austria. By the end of 2021, this investment will enable the production of up to 100,000 metric tons of brown (unbleached) pulp, which can be used as the basis for brown kraft paper, in addition to the production of white (NBSK) pulp in the future.

“In the future we will be able to produce more than 500,000 metric tons of white and brown pulp in Pöls. We thus continue to pursue our ambitious growth course in the area of sustainable packaging paper and create the basis for the construction of another paper machine,” explains Kurt Maier, CEO of Heinzel Group.
