In Jan 2008 Acimall will ship new NC machines to equip Advanced woodworking training center in Bangalore, India

Dec 20, 2007. /Lesprom Network/. In January 2008 Acimall, Italian woodworking machinery and tools manufacturers’ association, will ship new NC machines to Bangalore, India, to equip Awtc (Advanced woodworking training center), the training joint-venture that involves Acimall, Ice (Italian Foreign Trade Institute) and Iwst (Institute of wood science and technology), Acimall anounced. In the subcontinent, woodworking is moving away from handicraft processes and turning into a real industrial activity: the machines installed will respond to new training needs, continuing and expanding a project that has already ensured the professional training of more than 13 thousand engineers in four years; this is a remarkable contribution to a rapidly growing industry in this big country, noted Acimall in a statement. In December 2007 Acimall has already shipped to Novosibirsk, Russia, second batch of machinery to complete the technology workshop of School No. 50 in the Siberian town. The technology offered by Italian companies, coordinated by the association, will turn this institute into a reference for woodworking training beyond the Urals, in a region rich in raw material that will be increasingly processed locally. Acimall has published the fourth CD of the collection of 4 CDs and corresponding brochures, offering a detailed summary of all production processes for wood and wood-based products. “A unique example of constant and organized commitment to professional training worldwide”. So Paolo Zanibon, Acimall Director, commenting upon the publication of the fourth CD that, after two years of work, has completed the collection. “In other words, this is a very clear presentation of production processes for furniture, doors, chairs, floorings or any other type of industrial wood-based product. The training modules – added Zanibon – divided by industry segments (primary operation, panels, solid wood and finishing), will certainly be useful to those who are approaching these processes, as well as teachers and trainers who - all around the world - must transfer specific skills and knowledge”.
