In May 2005 Ust-Ilimsky saw and timber-processing enterprise (Irkutsk region, Russia, owned by Ilim Pulp) will receive a full set of technical documentation on the modernization of the sawn timber sorting line from Heinola Sawmill Machinery. The project is included in the Ust-Ilimsky development strategy. Recently Heinola Sawmill Machinery finished the examination of 6 sorting lines installed on the enterprise. The technical and technological parameters were fixed in the event of the forthcoming modernization. The new technologies will make the enterprise more competitive and allow to increase the quality of goods. A new sorting line costs $3 million.
