A research chamber, delivered by Jartek during year 2002, was upgraded by Jartek to provide similar features and control of process as recent industrial chamber deliveries, and, moved to new location when Lahti University of Applied Sciences (LAMK) moved to former furniture factory of Isku Oy in Finland.
This chamber is used for educational purposes during wood drying and thermal modification courses to run processes with different wood species, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
Also research projects between Jartek and LAMK generate another important task for this chamber. Cooperation between parties is frequent and as result several student project work as well as thesis work has been generated.
Jartek is leading supplier in Finnish sawmilling technology. Also family-owned company is specialized in log handling- and lumber handling lines, drying kilns, thermowood kilns and high speed planer lines.
