Kodiak acquires Christensen Lumber of Nebraska and Kansas

Christensen Lumber and Kodiak Building Partners have announced the acquisition of Christensen Lumber, as of May 1. Christensen Lumber was founded in 1923 and was one of the first businesses to establish itself in Fremont, Nebraska, as LBM Journal reported.

Tom Christensen will continue as president of Christensen Lumber. Additionally, he will be part of the ownership group of Kodiak. Christensen Lumber will join the Building Materials Group at Kodiak Building Partners and will be under the direction of Mark Garboski.

Selling to Kodiak Building Partners was the perfect choice for Tom Christiansen, the release said. “By no accident, Christensen Lumber has become a leader in the Midwest for engineered wood building components, millwork, and lumber sales. Hard work, deliberate planning, investments, and execution led us to this juncture, and Kodiak is perfectly positioned to allow us to continue on our successful journey and help us keep our focus on our areas of expertise,” Tom Christiansen added.
