Komatsu Forest names Mitsuru Ueno new CEO

May 05, 2014. /Lesprom Network/. The new Group President of Komatsu Forest AB, stationed in Umeå, is Mitsuru Ueno, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

He was previously Head of Development at Komatsu America. Mr. Ueno is 56 years old and gained extensive experience at Komatsu's engine plant in Oyama, Japan before transferring to Komatsu America in Chicago, where he has also held the positions of Executive Vice President and Chief Technical Officer.

Within Japanese industry, it is common to change CEO at relatively regular intervals and to recruit the new CEO from within the group. These changes in CEO often take place in conjunction with the start of a new financial year. Komatsu Forest's financial year begins on April 1.
