Leighton Holdings Ltd subsidiary Leighton Contractors has been awarded a $110 million Botany paper mill contract by Amcor for the design and construction of civil and building infrastructure, as the company said in a press release received by Lesprom Network. The Botany B9 Paper mill will generate high-quality recycled paper from waste collected throughout the Sydney area It will produce paper-based products across a wider range of weights and create packaging that is lighter, more efficient and more environmentally friendly, the company says. The nw paper mill would replace the two existing papermaking machines (No. 7 and No. 8) at the site, increasing paper making capacity from the current 250,000 tonnes per year to around 345,000 tonnes per year.
