The Lenzing Group introduces the eco-responsible process for the production of LENZING™ ECOVERO™ branded viscose fibers, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
The Lenzing Group is able to produce LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers not solely at the site in Lenzing (Austria) but also in China and, hence, even better meet the strong demand for eco-responsible products.
The environmental awareness of consumers has been growing steadily over the last decade, more recently in the fashion and textile industry. Textile consumption is expected to double by 2025, and the industry is anxiously looking for more sustainable solutions with low environmental impact.
LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose fibers are derived from sustainable wood and pulp, coming from certified and controlled sources (FSC® or PEFC™ certified) following the stringent guidelines of the Lenzing Wood and Pulp Policy.
