Aug 24, 2009. /Lesprom Network/. At the Husum mill actions to improve the efficiency and profitability have been implemented during several years, M-Real reported. Despite the implemented actions the profitability has in recent years been unsatisfactory. The situation has weakened further due to the international financial crisis. New actions will be implemented at the Husum mill in order to secure the mill’s profitability in the future. The target of the new actions is to reduce the total headcount from currently about 1,000 to below 800 by the end of 2010. The notice for the statutory negotiations will be given during week 34.
