Effective October 15, 2001, all Charlotte-based businesses will have been relocated to other Metso Paper locations including Norcross (Atlanta), Georgia; Aiken, South Carolina; and Beloit, Wisconsin. Strategic pulp and paper business lines and resources to be consolidated in the Norcross office include papermaking lines, boardmaking lines, tissuemaking lines, chemical pulping lines, mechanical pulping lines and panelboard lines. Norcross will also serve as the main service center for the Southeast U.S. offering such after-market services as parts and consumables for all business lines, replacement rolls and shells, projects and process solutions, and agreements and mill services.
