Mar 24, 2009. /Lesprom Network/. NewPage Corporation announced the completion of the sale of the NewPage Little Quinnesec hydroelectric facility in Niagara, Wisconsin to Northbrook Wisconsin, LLC. The facility has the capacity to generate approximately 9.1 megawatts annually. The terms of the transaction are not being disclosed, as NewPage Corporation informed Lesprom Network. Northbrook Wisconsin, LLC is an affiliate of United States Power Fund III, L.P., a private equity fund managed by Energy Investors Funds, and Northbrook Energy, LLC. Sanabe & Associates, LLC, acted as financial advisor to NewPage in the transaction. NewPage Corporation is the largest coated paper manufacturer in North America. The company's product portfolio is the broadest in North America and includes coated freesheet, coated groundwood, supercalendered, newsprint and specialty papers.
