Pfleiderer reported H1 2018 revenue of Euro 533.2 million

Pfleiderer’s H1 2018 revenue was Euro 533.2 million, primarily owing to price increases and the growing sale of value-added products. EBITDA amounted to Euro 69.4 million, while net income reached Euro 5.8 million, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

H1 2018 revenue of Pfleiderer Group S.A. rose by 5.4% to Euro 533.2 million from Euro 506 million a year ago, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

During this period, net income amounted to Euro 5.8 million compared with Euro 18.6 million in the first half of 2017, again strongly influenced by negative FX effects. The EBITDA climbed to Euro 69.4 million from Euro 66.1 million, demonstrating an increase by 5% in relation to the corresponding period a year ago.

"The first half of this year was challenging for our industry. We are still facing a strong increase in the prices of raw materials, one-off items also weighed on our financial results. Despite this, we managed to generate higher revenue, and on a like-for-like basis, 2Q 2018 EBITDA was higher by over 12% than a year ago. We will be mitigating higher costs of raw materials by smart pricing initiatives and by developing our product portfolio. We see immense potential in value-added products, and therefore we invested in a new lacquering line in Leutkirch, among others. Further optimization efforts and an increase in production capabilities will support our results. We are optimistic about subsequent quarters,” says Tom K. Schäbinger, President of the Management Board of Pfleiderer Group S.A.

Pfleiderer Group S.A. is a leading producer of surface materials for the furniture and building industry in Europe.
