Proteak signed $10 million investment agreement with Finnfund

Oct 22, 2014. /Lesprom Network/. Proteak Uno, S.A.B. de C.V. signed a $10 million investment agreement with Finnish Fund of Industrial Cooperation Ltd. (Finnfund). The entire investment will be made directly to Proteak’s MDF project, the largest forestry-industrial project in Mexico. Finnfund delivered the first tranche of its capital injection for $7.6 million, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

Finnfund, established in 1980, is the Finnish development finance company. Its mandate includes providing long-term risk capital for private projects in emerging markets. Sustainability in economical, ecological and social aspects is key criteria in Finnfund’s investee company and partner selection process. Forestry and Energy, two distinctive components of Proteak’s integrated project, are focus sectors for Finnfund.
