Mar 23, 2004. /Lesprom Network/. Russian Murmansky tare enterprise reported corrugated cardboard transportation tare production down to 329,0 thousand sq m, Titan public-affairs told Lesprom.ru. Metallic tins production declined to 2,1 million conv tins, tare for food, dry and confectiomer’s products - 480 thousand pieces. In January-February 2004 the enterprise produced 996,8 thousand sq m of tare (-50% compared with the prior period in 2003), tins production - 4,7 million conv tins (-55%) and metallic tins for food, dry and confectioner’s products - 1,119 million pieces (+19%). Murmansky production decline was caused by the modernization and production reorganization carried out on the enterprise, as well as the demand decline due the fishing quotas reduction in the region, Murmansky public-affairs reported. Presently Murmansky is fulfilling an investment program exceeding $800 thousand which is aimed at modernizing the production facilities. Murmansky is owned by Titan group of companies, Russia’s largest manufacturer of package of lithographic food plate and corrugated cardboard. The enterprise has been operating for 70 years on the tare and package market supplying goods country- and worldwide.
