Feb 04, 2013. /Lesprom Network/. Schumacher Packaging GmbH has awarded a bundled contract worth more than Euro 30 million to BOBST and BHS. Under the contract, lasting from December 2012 until the end of 2013, BOBST will equip Schumacher plants with two flat-bed die cutters, four folding box gluing machines, one FFG 1228 NT flexo folder gluer and various peripheral devices. The contract also includes a large number of upgrades and optimizations to the existing infrastructure, as the company said in a press release received by Lesprom Network. The investment initiative covers Schumacher's Polish plants and a new facility in Greven, Germany, expected to come on stream with the very latest technology in early 2014. Schumacher Packaging will install a new, high-capacity BHS corrugated cardboard line at its corrugated cardboard plant in Bukowiec in Poland, with the chosen specification allowing for further performance increases in future.
