Segezha Group to build a new pellet plant in Lesosibirsk, Russia

Segezha Group’s subsidiary Ksilotek-Siberia has launched the first stage of the pellet plant construction in Lesosibirsk, Russia. The preparatory earthwork operations and stripping began on an area of more than 2 hectares before the assembling of piles and casing, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The pellet plant construction planned to be launched in November 2018, will let to combine forest raw material resources as well as to ensure the waste disposal through converting them to biofuel pellets and heat energy. The capacity of the future production is 100 thousand tons of finished products per year.

To ensure the project implementation, SORB LLC (the representative of the Estonian company AS Hekotek in Russia) signed the contract for supply of processing facilities for the wood pellets production plant. The equipment at the cost of more than Euro 6 million will be delivered to the site from the second decade of May to June 2018.
