Siempelkamp’s Composites Division wins order from a new Polish customer for an integrated 250 t-press system for the production of fibre-reinforced components, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
In addition to a press the scope of delivery and services includes a test tool, a tool changing system, a heating and cooling system as well as a material shuttle with an integrated infrared heating field. This integrated plant is able to produce duroplastic and thermoplastic components thereby providing the customer with sufficient flexibility, as is requested, to continue its development of innovative materials and manufacturing processes.
The list of highlights includes, amongst others, a press that incorporates a multiple tool-changing store as well as a technical periphery that has been integrated into the control system, enabling a targeted control of the different kinds of consolidation and pressing processes.
Plant layout and material flow have been designed to allow for a plant expansion with another press system, which the two companies have already agreed upon within the next stage of expansion.
