Roundwood purchased from Slovenian private owners in 2022 was worth Euro 67.5 million, which is about 13% more than in 2021. The quantity of purchased wood was slightly lower, while the average prices were higher than in the previous year, according to the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia.

The values of all individual categories of purchased roundwood increased. The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was higher by about 14%, of fuel wood by about 15% and of pulpwood by about 2%. Higher was also the value of purchased other industrial roundwood.


Sawlogs and veneer logs represented by far the highest share (79.8%) in the total value of roundwood purchased in 2022. The share of pulpwood was 13.9%, of wood fuel 4.4% and of other industrial roundwood 1.9%.
