UAB Juodeliai invests Euro 40 million in a new plant in Lithuania

Wood processing company UAB Juodeliai launched the construction of the world-class packing elements plant with capacities twice as high as those of the currently operating company. The new packing elements plant is to be built in Marijampolė, Lithuania. The total project investment shall add up to Euro 40 million. The new plant is to create around 100 workplaces, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

The manufacturing building of the plant is to be completed by the end of this year. The cutting of the first log in the new plant is expected to take place in September 2020. Upon the implementation of the investment project the company opts to become the second largest pallet elements manufacturer in Europe. UAB Juodeliai turnover is expected to increase to Euro 110 million.

The plant will be equipped with a cutting line that has no known analogue in the world to date. This line is produced by German company Linck Holzverarbeitungstechnik GmbH. This unique product is developed by joint efforts combining UAB Juodeliai experience and German technical know-how.
