An expansion of investment cooperation, including in the sphere of deep timber processing, is an important factor in increasing the quality of economic relations, Putin said at the third Russian- Chinese economic forum in Moscow, reported Istockanalyst. "For Russia, the development of modern processing in the timber sector and increasing the export of products with a high added value are top priorities," Putin said. "We are interested in investment in the Russian timber processing industry from both Russian and foreign, in this case, Chinese companies," Putin said. He recalled that China is traditionally one of the largest consumers of Russian timber products.
