Jul 11, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. Bratsky pulp and cardboard enterprise (Irkutsk region, Russia, owned by Ilim Pulp) carried out the first supervisory professional security management, labor and health protection audit in compliance with OHSAS 18001 2004 version, corporate public-affairs announced. The audit was carried out by Bureau Veritas Quality International (BVQI) leading auditor Leonid Yaskin. The auditor started the audit on July, 8 examining documentation. On July, 5 the enterprise carried out a training course in compliance with ISO 14001 2004 version standard. During the next 3 days the auditor examined the documentation database, visited health and fire protection departments, the main production capacities, industrial and environmental laboratories as well as purification facilities and waste dumping facilities. Leonid Yaskin also met CEO Vladimir Sokolovsky and his deputy on HR and organization development, labor protection, professional security amd environment. The auditor put a stress upon the labor organization control, because some of the enterprise's facilities are operating with the potential health risk to the workers. During the final meeting Leonid Yaskin said that professional security, labor and health protection on Bratsky complied with OHSAS 18001 and characterized it as a successfully operating one. As reported earlier, profesional security, health and laboer protecion certification audit in compliance with OHSAS 18001 was carried out in late 2004.
