Jun 21, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. Canada Wood opened an office in Beijing recently, in order to exploit China's wood market. According to John Allan, CEO of Canada's Council of forest industries, China is actively developing new architectural technologies and establishing the standards and norms for energy-saving buildings. "China will concentrate more and more on timberwork architectural technologies and wood products for building, for which Canada stands at the world-leading position," he said. "The launching of Canada Wood's office in Beijing will enhance the cooperation between our Chinese counterparts and us." The new office in Beijing will hold training courses, launching joint investigations and supplying information to China's building industry insiders on timberwork building technologies and wood products for building. Canada Wood has joined hands with some Chinese government departments, such as the ministry of construction, in investigation and cooperation on the demands and requirements of China's timberwork building industry.
