Jul 01, 2008. /Lesprom.com/. Last year Hamburger Hungària Kft. commissioned Voith Paper to build the new PM 7 packing paper machine at the facilities in Dunaújváros, Hungary. Now, the company has decided to extend the partnership for the automation of the mill.
The PM 7 is equipped with Voith’s quality control system “OnQuality” containing two scanners: one to measure moisture before the size press, the other before the reeling. To achieve a consistently high paper quality in machine direction (MD), a piece of software is installed for the MD control of moisture and basis weight as well as a program for coordinating speed and grade changes.
The papermills of Dunapack Paper and Packaging Ltd. are part of the division “Hamburger Containerboard” of the Austrian Prinzhorn Holding GmbH and are Hungary’s largest paper producer.
Voith Paper is a group division of Voith and one of the leading partners in the papers industry.
