Mar 29, 2010. /Lesprom Network/. The Finnish Forest Industries Federation (FFIF) and the Finnish Paper Workers' Union have reach an agreement covering workers in the paper industry. Two years' agreement will raise wages by 0.5% during the first year, FFIF said in a statement received by Lesprom Network. The parties agreed on considerable development of the collective agreement in order to strengthen the industy's competitiveness and to maintain as many jobs as possible. The parties agreed also on developing of the collective agreement in order to support wellbeing at work together with continuous improvement of competitiveness and productivity, to provide new working hours models and to clarify the agreement. New agreement will be concluded for the period April 1, 2010 - March 31, 2012.
