In these 40 years, the mill has become a modern company, and has increased its production output by 3.5 times, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
Today Fankom is a modern company producing up to 180,000 cubic metres of plywood per year. The product range includes interior and exterior birch plywood, film-faced and coniferous plywood. The mill has 1,800 employees.
2012 was a strategically important year for the mill. On April 18, Fankom joined SVEZA Group, which is a world leading producer of birch plywood.
“Fankom was acquired by the large Russian holding. I am confident that by joining SVEZA Group it will drive growth at our plant and across the region as a whole," said the CEO of Fankom, Aleksey Deryabin.
