Fraser Papers Inc. announced the temporary shutdown of its two sawmill operations located in Plaster Rock and Juniper, New Brunswick, beginning November 25, 2006, due to weak market conditions. The company expects the shutdown to be at least two weeks in duration depending on market conditions. This temporary shutdown affects approximately 340 employees. Fraser Papers is an integrated specialty paper company which produces a broad range of technical and printing & writing papers.
