Furniture exports from Latvia down by 17.9%
Jun 25, 2008. /Lesprom.com/. In the first 4 months of the year 2008, furniture with the total value of LVL 24,006,000 (approx. $53.4 million) has been exported from Latvia, which is by 17.9% less than in the respective period of time in 2007.

In the first 4 months of the year 2008, furniture with the total value of LVL 24,006,000 (approx. $53.4 million) has been exported from Latvia, which is by 17.9% less than in the respective period of time in 2007, The Baltic Course informed according Agriculture Ministry's Department of Forest Resources.
The largest volume of furniture – worth LVL 4.65 million ($10.3 million) – was exported to Germany. Furniture of LVL 3.18 million ($7 million) worth was exported to Denmark, LVL 2.47 million ($ 5.5 million) worth – to the United Kingdom, LVL 1.92 million ($ 4.3 million) worth – to France and LVL 1.61 million ($3.6 million) worth – to Sweden.
The total value of furniture, exported to other countries, apart from the above mentioned ones, was LVL 10.14 million ($ 22.5 million).
